Dvd Review: Legend

This movie is a bit of a futuristic thriller/drama. It is set at a time where a vaccine created as a cure for cancer goes horribly wrong and people begin to die in masses. People infected by the virus, the effects are somewhat similar to rabies and a type of madness is created in people who attack others before they eventually die.

Having lost his wife and child, Will Smith is the only remaining survivor in the area that he lives in.

While this is not based on an actual event as some of my other reviews are, it speaks to me about having a sense of purpose. As always, Will Smith shows his ability to reveal real emotions in a loving manner.

Like with all journeys of purpose that we undertake, sometimes, the purpose is not revealed at the beginning of the journey. Sometimes, you just have to every day just put one foot ahead of the other, before your true purpose reveals its self. It shows that true courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to act in spite of it.

It poses some heavy questions about why bad things happen to good people. But also how one person can make a difference to so many people, if you are just willing to listen, to that still, small voice that guides you to a higher purpose.
